My name is Paul and I have been laying floor boards for many years.

With this time consuming work, I know that once you’re in a rhythm, having to stop for any reason can ruin the day. It’s crucial to keep the momentum going so you can keep your motivation and spirits up at a high level.

When you have to stop once, twice or three times on a job to deal with a warped floor board or a stubborn gap, you often push on and work through lunch, this leads to reduced productivity, missing potential calls for other jobs and workers eventually morale declines. You know it’s only a matter of time until the next floor board presents some difficulty – struggling to hold it in place while it is glued, only to have it ‘pop’ out again once the pressure is released. Sound familiar? Coming up to the last floor boards against the wall, it’s a struggle to remain positive and have the energy to do the job properly.

It was years of working in the trenches like this that led me to designing the QuikBrace™.

I had never used a floor clamp (preferring hammer and chisel) and when I spoke to a number of other flooring professionals they said the same thing: floor clamps just seemed like too much of a hassle.
