Laying floorboards on chipboard using the QuikBrace™

The step by step approach
Simply place the QuikBrace™ on top of the boards that are to be installed - with the board grabbers of the U Shaped Head over the edge of the board to be clamped.
The QuikBrace™ board grabbers will locate above the tongue. Once you are in position, the next step is to use the QuikBrace™ handle, and slightly tilt the QuikBrace™ towards the sub-floor to assist the spikes to penetrate into the sub floor – the, while tilting the QuikBrace™ you should operate the control valve lever to apply a small amount of pressure.
Once the QuikBrace™ spikes have penetrated into the sub-floor, the necessary pressure can be provided by, again, operating the control valve. The only thing left to do, is clamp up, fix off and move along the row.
You should notice the QuikBrace™spike block lifting / tilting as the clamping pressure comes to a head. The QuikBrace™ can be held into position by putting your foot on top of the spike block. This also allows the QuikBrace™ spikes to penetrate deeper into the sub-floor.
Standing on the two arms of the QuikBrace™ U shaped head and gentle tapping the spike block can speed the process up. We recommend that you nail around the QuikBrace™ and then the release the pressure and move on to where it is needed next. With the QuikBrace™ attached to the nailer, it is right on hand when it is needed.
Everytime you use the QuikBrace™, we recommend that you gently pull back on the air ram lever before you attempt to push the lever forward. This gentle action will enable the QuikBrace™ to discharge the air build up, and by gently pushing forward, you are likely to avoid the ram suddenly shooting out, as this may cause unexpected harm and damage.
