Although the floor clamp is commonly used to lay all types of flooring, it is time consuming and labor intensive.
The QuikBrace™ was developed to be a permanent alternative to a floor clamp and the QuikBrace™ has substantial differences.
The key differentiator between the QuikBrace™ and floorboards, is that the QuikBrace™ is powered by compressed air, not a manual gear ratchet system. So, the QuikBrace™ does not rely on an individual’s strength to put or hold in place floorboards. Also, the major challenge when using floor clamps to lay flooring is that as soon as you release them, gaps can spring back between your floorboards.
How the QuikBrace™ works:
With the pneumatic compressed air driven cylinder, the machine constantly expands increasing the pressure as the floorboard mate together and the floor tightens.
As the gaps close the QuikBrace™ keeps applying pressure as the cylinder automatically expands to bring the floorboards together, tightly. This happens automatically, which is an additional benefit that happens as part of the power source used by the QuikBrace™.
